Who is Clo.tatts?

This isn’t just a business, it’s a reflection of what I believe in. I create tattoos that matter, guided by a commitment to craftsmanship, safety, and thoughtful collaboration. My approach combines clean, considered design with meticulous technique: every line and shade is placed with intention.

I work across custom pieces, cover-ups, and small to large tattoos , specializing in illustrative, neo traditional, colour realism and painterly. Consultations are collaborative and client-focused: I take time to understand your story, refine the design, and ensure the final piece fits your body and lifestyle.

Studio standards prioritize hygiene and comfort. I use sterile, single-use equipment, medical-grade cleaning protocols, and aftercare guidance to support healing and long-term results.

Based in Oshawa, ON, I accept bookings by consultation. For availability, portfolio updates, and commission guidelines, message me or follow for recent work.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I work out of Batik Ink, in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada But I frequently travel for guest spots! Keep an eye on my Instagram or sign up for my email list to see if I’ll be coming to your city!

You can also email me or send me a DM on instagram!

  • You can find my design and deposit policies here

  • While I wish I could give you a cut and dry answer, there are many factors and variables that go into the cost of a tattoo. If you’ve got an idea, I’d be happy to hop on a consult call and give you a price estimate. You can book that here!

  • Do Not: consume alcoholic beverages or take any non-prescribed drugs or blood thinners 24 hours before your appointment, you will bleed more, and I will have to work harder (aka hurt you more.)

Do: get a good night's sleep before your tattoo appointment. It is a good idea to eat something 1-2 hours before getting tattooed. Make sure you are keeping yourself hydrated at least a few days before your appointment. (At least 2L of water a day.) I recommend bringing a snack and or drink (Gatorade or sugary beverage. I also recommend bringing a lunch for longer sessions. There is convenience store and a variety of restaurants in the same plaza as my studio if you forget to bring snacks\drinks.

  • If I applied a second skin bandage:

ALWAYS wash your hands before touching your healing tattoo. Keep the bandage on for 3 days. You may notice some ink, plasma, or blood pooling underneath the bandage. This is normal. If the fluid starts leaking out the sides of the bandage, remove it early.

Some people are allergic to the medical adhesive used in the second skin bandage. If you notice a reaction, (redness around the whole bandage, heavy swelling, itching or discomfort,) remove the bandage immediately. The reaction should subside in a few hours. If it does not, or gets worse, seek medical care.

I recommend removing the bandage while running the area under warm water. Gently pull a corner out and peel the bandage off slowly to reduce discomfort.

After removing your bandage, start aftercare. Wash the tattoo with unscented soap, ensuring to clean any leftover ink and plasma. Gently pat your tattoo dry with a clean piece of paper towel, or let it air dry. DO NOT use a towel or rag on a healing tattoo. You will want to continue washing your tattoo, twice daily until the tattoo is fully healed. (2-4 weeks).

Moisturize the tattoo as needed with a light unscented moisturizer. Lubiderm, Cereve, Cetaphil, Aveeno or any tattoo specific aftercare cream is great. Avoid anything heaving like coconut oil, vaseline, or aquafor. Only apply thin layers at a time, a little goes a long way and you don't want to clog your pores. Everyone's skin is different. Some people have drier skin than others, and climate can play a big factor into how dry your skin is as well. Use your discretion.

You will notice that your tattoo will become flaky, and itchy while it is healing. This is normal and usually means your skin is just dry. Do not pick, scratch or itch at the tattoo. Apply a thin layer of moisturizer, and that should stop the itchiness.

Avoid going to the gym or doing any activities that make you sweat for at least 7 days after your tattoo. Sweat carries dirt and bacteria, and gyms are full of germs. This is a big infection risk. After the 7 days, if you go to gym, give your tattoo an additional wash right after.

Do not submerge your healing tattoo in water. No pool, baths, hot tubs, oceans, or lakes until your tattoo is fully healed.

Do not expose your healing tattoo to the sun. UV will age and fade your tattoos fast! Will also burn if the sun touches it. Keep your tattoo covered by light loose clothing if you will be out in the sun.

If you notice any signs of infection or have any concerns, please consult with a health care professional.
